近日，来自世界各地的上财MBA留学生齐聚一堂，跟随《中国概况》陈夏芳老师一道，共同走进中华艺术宫和洋山深水港码头，通过实地参观和亲身体验，深入感受中华文化的博大精深和中国智造的科技潮范。
第一站 中华艺术宫
中华艺术宫，又名上海当代艺术博物馆，是中国最具代表性的艺术殿堂之一。此次参观活动，不仅为留学生提供了亲身感受中国艺术魅力的机会，也是一次深刻的文化交流活动。
在陈老师的带领下，留学生们先后来到了各个展厅，欣赏了中国古代绘画、书法等艺术珍品。他们驻足观看，不时发出赞叹之声。除了传统艺术，留学生们还参观了现代艺术展区，欣赏了当代艺术家的创新作品。这些作品融合了中国传统艺术与现代元素，让留学生们感受到了中华艺术的蓬勃生机和创新活力。
参观结束后，留学生们纷纷表示，这次活动让他们对中国艺术有了更深刻的了解，也让他们更加热爱这个充满魅力的国度。他们表示，要将这次参观的所见所闻带回自己的国家，与更多人分享中国的艺术和文化。
第二站 洋山深水港
洋山港，作为中国最大的集装箱港口之一，也是上海建设成为国际航运中心的重要依托。在陈老师的带领下，大家来到洋山港码头，亲眼见证了巨型货轮装卸集装箱的繁忙场景，感受到了中国作为世界贸易大国的上海节奏。
此外，陈老师还向留学生们介绍了洋山港的发展历程，以及其在中国经济发展中的重要作用。留学生们纷纷表示，这次参观让他们对中国的经济成就有了更加直观和深刻的认识。
这次实践活动不仅让留学生们学到了专业知识，更让他们感受到了当下中国经济的蓬勃生命力和未来生长潜力。相信这次参观将对同学们的学习和未来职业生涯产生积极的影响。期待在不久的将来，留学生们可以成长为传播中华文化的使者，为增进国际间的文化交流做出积极贡献。

China Overview is a comprehensive and insightful exploration course about the role of Chinese history and culture. As a result of taking this course, I gained a deeper understanding of how traditional philosophical frameworks, including Confucianism and Taoism, have influenced people's concept of self and how they interact with others. The course examined how these philosophical foundations have shaped Chinese literature, art, and social structures over time. The course encouraged students to critically analyze how Chinese society has both celebrated and constrained individual expression, providing a nuanced perspective on the ongoing tensions and transformations in this relationship. The teaching approach emphasized the importance of engaging with primary sources, such as classical texts and artistic works, to gain a miscellaneous understanding of the complexities of Chinese civilization. This hands-on, interdisciplinary approach allowed us students to develop a comprehensive understanding of individual's role in shaping and being shaped by Chinese culture. Overall, I found this course to be a rich and insightful exploration of Chinese history and culture.

The
China Overview course provides a comprehensive and insightful view into
the rich cultural heritage of China. Throughout the course, I was
immersed in the fascinating world of Chinese traditions, customs, art,
philosophy, geographic and history. I learned about the significance of
concepts such as Confucianism, Taoism, the importance of ancient rituals
in shaping Chinese society, the map of China and the rivers in this
wonderful land, and the dynasties like Zhou Dynasty, Qin Dynasty, Han
Dynasty, Tang Dynasty and Qing Dynasty.
The teaching method employed in the course utilized a combination of lectures, discussions in class, presentations from students and hands-on activities to deepen our understanding of the subject matter, for example we have visited China Art Museum and Yangshan Port1 for this class. The instructors' passion for the topic shone through in their dynamic delivery and willingness to answer questions.
One key tookaway from the course was the emphasis on the interconnectedness of different aspects of Chinese culture, showing how elements like calligraphy, and cuisine are all intertwined and reflective of broader cultural values. The course sparked in me a desire to explore more about China and its diverse cultural tapestry. Overall, the China Overview course was a enlightening and enriching experience that deepened my appreciation for the depth and complexity of Chinese culture.
